It might be a "dad" thing.

There's a moment, I reckon most, if not all Dads get it, a couple of weeks in, after the worst of the sleep deprivation has passed, where you sit, quietly, and realise that the rest of your life has changed forever, utterly, irreversibly. And you love it.

I've got our little Chimp on my lap now. He's just fallen asleep after waking up screaming for the second time this evening. He's got a temperature, a bad arse and a foul mood, all the result of teething. But he's perfect. I wouldn't change a moment of the last 10 months.
