Reloading this forum

Am I missing something? Once you've logged in, there's a button for reloading the forum, but as soon as you do anything - reading/posting etc., the button disappears so you have to use the refresh button in the tool bar instead. Am I being Thick Spice, or is this supposed to be like this?

(Sorry to be thick, Ben. Love the new options - once again you've worked hard to give everyone what they want from WotB)
