Olympics obviously a bit of a running sore there, and it must have been doubly frustrating witnessing the atmosphere in the velodrome. But I'm not sure I can see him devoting the time and sacrifices necessary to try and get himself a place in the track team?
Still, he's a driven bugger when he wants something, so maybe I'm underestimating him.
re Sky - all depends on whether anyone else can afford to buy out his Sky contract and pay him equivalent wages, I'd have thought. And not sure I can see it - particularly given that with the emergence of Sagan, Kittel et al he's probably not going to be the dominant sprinter he was over the past few years.
So my money would be on him staying. But who knows - could be wildly wrong.
