Dodgy rumours question

Now I have a query about my favourite bulls**t site
Where do people get the rumours from .... For example lots of rumours about the French based Gabon international comming ... Now unlike Jordan Rhodes he's hardly a management computer game style choice so maybe we have at least scouted these players and Chinese whispers has expanded on it ..?
