Howson / Next Season

Will be very disappointed if CH plays Howson as a holding midfielder like he has done in the majority of pre season games. To my untrained eye he looked like the box to box goalscoring midfielder we've missed for some time.

I know you can't read into pre season results one bit but I am worried about this season. I think our defence is weaker than last year in depth terms given the departures of Drury, Whitbread, Ayala & Naughton. If we get a long term injury at left back like we did last season we are in serious trouble as Lappin bless him is not up to it and is really a midfielder anyway.
Same applies at Centre back where Ward & Barnett are championship standard at best.
I personally would not have signed Snodgrass either especially if we are going to play with one just off Holt. I do not think he is any better than Wes and we also have Bennett and Pilks, Buttefield & Howson who can all play there.

We are also weaker in attacking depth with the loss of big Albie.

Anyway enough of my ramblings CH knows far more than i ever will and I'm sure he has it all under control.
