I have heard that a couple of our players are unhappy and want to leave......

and i am now pretty convinced that unless we have a major turnaround in results that Dean Ashton will leave in January.

The players who are unhappy i do not know their names but it got me thinking about Ashton anyway. All this Worthy out business seems to have taken everyones mind of his situation.

Think about it though. If in January we are still in disarray, lanquishing in midtable or worst then why the hell would he want to stay? He could have stayed at Crewe to be playing in the lower half of the Championship.

If a team like Man City come in for him with an offer of about ?6-7 million he will be off. He knows i am sure that the England team have a vacancy for a big man up front with Crouch now seemingly out of the equation. Dean will know that if he can play well between Jan and the end of the season in the prem and bang in say 7-10 goals then he stands a very good chance of going to Germany.

I don't really see what we can do to prevent him from leaving, but we could be managerless in January and in a complete mess. The only way i could think off that we could hold onto him would be to turn the results around, but with 5? away games in a row coming up in Nov i can't see that happening. Davenport is off in mid December so the defence is going to be back to its worst.

What do we do? let him go? of get in a new manager very soon who can turn our fortunes around, cos although i would like to think Worthy could turn it around my gut feeling is that his time is up.

Please discuss.
