We had a fantastic time, stayed in Greenwich, the place was really buzzing with all the equestrian and festival events going on, 2 days at the Olympic park watching Women?s basketball which to be honest is all I could get in the 2nd ballot, it was actually quite exciting and probably the best event to take the children, fast, loud, razzmatazz type stuff, we enjoyed every game and the whole basketball experience.
Travelling in and out of London and on the DLR to the park an absolute doddle, I was expecting long delays, in fact we got to the park before it opened and we?re the first through the turn styles for excellent photo oppotities with no one around.
The ?games makers? were fantastic, in fact everything was just brillo pads from start to finish, if you haven?t got one, get a ticket for the park and soak up the atmosphere and if you?re lucky there will be return tickets to be had at the venues
Best bit was bumping into the New Zealand 3 day event team celebrating their bronze medal in a pub in Greenwich, loads of pics with Mark Todd who was more than happy for the children to wear his medal...top bloke
Managed to fit in the Damian Hirst exhibition and stumbled across a Rolling Stone photo exhibition
