Prior to the Olympics starting I really wasn't at all bothered

I think it happens every time. They come along, I'm not bothered, and then when they're on I love them.

This time is no different. I don't follow any of the sports. I know the names Ennis and Mo, but wouldn't have recognised them if they sat opposite me on a tube.

It's the same with the cyclists. Know the names, know nothing about them.

Basically, what I'm saying is I was cynical before, and I was wrong. Well done London. Well done the Olympians. Fuck you footballers (some of them).

Great crowds too.
