is understandable because the guy looked quality in 6 games but then so did David Neilson.
The way I see it, reading between the lines, we won't be left with Ward and Barnett backing up Turner and Bennett. Hughton is quoted as saying he hasn't made his mind up yet re letting Ayala go but will no more in the next couple of days User Posted Link
Speculation I know but this sounds to me like he is awaiting a decision on another player coming in before he agrees to letting Ayala out.
Curtis Davies anyone??
So best outcome: Davies signs and partners Turner with Bennett and Ward pushing them both. Barnett probably goes. We have a much more experienced centre half pairing and Ayala gets a season under his belt with a progressive Forest side. Remember he is only 21 and on a long deal. We get to have a proper look.
The worst outcome: we can't get Davies in. We are left with Turner, Bennett, Ayala and Ward. No worse than last year but more premiership experience. Barnett probably goes.
