Now there are obviously associated costs, agent fees, signing on fees etc but it is hard to argue the case for our biggest ever budget significantly improving our squad. Defense looks weaker to me??

Would imagine there are at least 2-3 defer additions still to come although hughtons quotes last night seem to suggest he only wants 4 x CB's. The Ayal decision seems odd I can only assume that with the rumoured departure of Vaughan there is a deliberate move to rid the squad of players that are very injury prone and may miss a lot of football??

Think we need a top quality defensive player left sided able to play CB or LB. A quality DCM and a pact striker that gives us more of a goal threat than Jackson ad Vaughan and is likely to stay fit.

Still think we will miss Lambert more than people realise but Hughton has full support.
