is that Hoots backroom team might be out of their depth when it comes to finding good new signings.

Do you think Hoots, Calderwood and Trollops know much about finding players that are of Prem standard and affordable?

I don't think Butterfield and Snod were much to do with Hoots and he was just happy to go along with it as a continuation of Lamberts plans.

Whiteaker was probably a recommendation of the scout (that Lambert didn't seem to rate very highly).

Hoots might have known about Turner from Hoots time in the North-east.

The real test will come when the list of Lamberts targets becomes out of date.
