Different ways to win a road race, same as a distance running race

Sprint finish is only one. We were hamstrung by our tactics. The only thing we could have done was to go with the first break, but the strategy was to protect Cav by keeping an even pace until the finish. To do that, without any help, meant that our guys expended more energy than anyone else in the field.
