thalo got booted off the Apple Discussion forums several years ago and then effectively forced off the MacFixIt forums a couple of years ago (which is where I discovered him) - basically he thinks of himself as a craftsman, the Mac as a tool and despises the gee-whizzery bollocks that he's forced to endure while trying to get some work done - he was apoplectic when the widgets were introduced ...
