I'm not in work again until Monday, but our works is directly opposite a large Royal Mail Sorting Office. I know it's Chester and therefore almost certainly unconnected with the non-arrival of your season tickitt, but would you like me to wander across on Monday and start beating to left and right with a length of 4x2?

I have a bit of a grievance with the bloke behind the reception desk, as it goes. Two birds with one length of forbitoo, could be?
