Saturday 5th August 2006. First game of the Championship season away to Leeds United.

I was drinking with Squirrel, Pragmatist and a few other City fans in the beer garden of The Old Peacock pub on Elland Road, opposite the ramshackle stadium.

We were happily mingling with Leeds fans also drinking there, when one of their supporters came up to us and asked us in all seriousness: "What's it like for you to come to a massive club?"
