single handedly won england games by picking the match up by the scruff of the neck and having some sort of red mist!

probably the only england footballer I can think of who would have been prepared to pay for his own flight/hotel expenses etc just to represent his own country - even in a friendly.....

best example england has of a player who has passion for his country......
