Fair enough - and yes I understand the 'bigger sports' point

But in some ways it's comparing apples wigth oranges, or like to trying to measure sporting heroes from different generations. There are clear and reasonable arguments on both sides. But I would say, as my fundamental argument, that it was a damn sight harder for Wiggins to become a Tour winning cyclist than it was for england to win ther 66 World Cup. And by that I don't just mean in terms of physical exersion; I also mean culturally given how much road cycl;ing means in other countries.
