My First Car - a strange story

Passed my test and went back to the office where I gained much advice from my older colleagues about what car to buy.

One of the older blokes was a Londoner who said I should buy a car that would enable me to learn about engines i.e. an engine that was accessible and easy to work on. He suggested a Triumph Herald as the who bonnet/wings etc lifted up to expose the engine. He had one when he lived in Enfield but wrote it off in an accident blar blar blar.

So, I contacted a local Norwich mate who did cars up and he sorted me a Triumph Herald which I duly bought for ?100. Wait for it....

Got the sodding car home and looked in the Log Book and yes you've guessed it, the first owner was the bloke in the office when he lived in Enfield....amazing on one hand and a good laugh but on the other I'd bought an ex write-off.

The film of the book will be out next year.
