I think you're getting confused

Own country = win at all costs, entertainment irrelevant

Other countries = watch them for entertainment value only. So if not entertaining, don't care that they're winning

That's just my own philosophy, I'm not laying down an absolute rule. And I quite accept that other people find Spain's total mastery of a football a thing of joy and beauty. It's just that I don't.
