Perhaps they should both be punished by the FA but

thats a different matter to what Terry is on trial for. Ferdinand ribbed him about shagging bridge's wife (which he did so not really anything for him to get irate about) and Terry responded disproportionatly with racist abuse.

I'm quite politically incorrect and to be honest am genrally of the view that the race card is played far too much in in this country but on this occasion it does seem that Terry crossed the line.

Whether or not the line should be drawn in a different place (which is what you seem to be saying) is a good question and it probably should. problem is that swearing on the pitch has been tolerated for so long by football/referees its pretty much accepted as normal. As Terry says, he gets abuse all the time on the pitch for his sh*gging antics.
