Sorry guys but I just don't get it. Lots of sports are dull; this one's irritating

even the crowd noise is annoying. And why do the players need silence? Why can't they play in sporting noise?

There's obviously a reason why so many shots go straight at the opponent: is it just a safety thing, in that IF A plays a shot that makes B run for it, A runs the risk that he won't know where B's return will go?

The scoring system is very good, but the sport is paralysingly boring. It'd be easier to watch on teletext.
