Its a sweeping generalisation to say all footballers are the same.

Many are mercenaries but Huckerby is loved in Norfolk because for him it became more than just a job.

People got upset about Holt I guess because they thought he must have some similar, deeper affection and loyalty for the club, although I had never noticed it.
