I had a good idea along the lines of...

traffic calming... when they did The Street at Costessey they created jutty out island things that creates a chicane all along the lane. Cost thousands. My suggestion was that they just buy up a dozen junk cars and park them at various points along the lane. Same affect, a fraction of the price. If they were worried about them being stolen they could simply torch them when they are in place.

Job done for less than a grand.
