Their answer was that they had to treat every player in the same way and couldn't be seen to be giving him, as a Brit player, an advantage by guaranteeing him a slot on centre court for every game. As it is, there was also a fuss last year from some of the higher seeds, Ladies I think, that they never got a look in at centre or Court 1 unless they got to the Quarters.
