I went yesterday. Awful organisation and full of lairy d*ckheads. If you're thinking of getting the tram up to Heaton Park, make sure you get on at Piccadilly (first stop) as trams were full at other stations. We walked back in to the City centre after the gig which was a nice downhill stroll for an hour. Taxis charging crazy amounts from near the park. Bar was a nightmare - go once and get lots!
The performance itself was very good. Brown's vocals were fine, ropey in a couple of places (mainly Love Spreads I thought) but mainly on the money. The other 3 were absolutely tremendous. Incredible stuff - you can tell they've put a lot of work in preparing for it. My highlights were Shoot You Down, Waterfall on in to Don't Stop, Fools Gold and I am the Resurrection.
Ground will be very boggy by tomorrow so don't go in lightweight trainers! A good tip is... the first 20,000 people got wristbands to get in to front fenced off area. Would be much, much better getting in there as didn't actually look overcrowded, plenty of room near the back. Could probably avoid the pissed up idiots.
All-in-all I'm glad I went as I never thought I'd get the chance to see them live. They didn't disappoint although I never want to go to a massive open-air gig again (and there's nobody else I would do it for to be honest).
Enjoy!
