WTF does being a croatian international have to do with it?

Whittaker is Scottish, for all you know about him (guessing not much) he could well have enjoyed great success in the Croatian, Brazilian, Spanish etc teams had he been from any of those countries. Problem is he's Scottish, so you therefore are automatically assuming he's s**t and bargain basement. That's not necessarily so.
