I'm concerned. Are we shopping in the bargain basement again?

Bowkett announced that any new manager would have the biggest transfer budget in our history.
With this signing and the transfer speculation linking us with Best, Burke and Davies it would appear that the new manager still has peanuts to play with by Prem standards.
I'm worried. Lambert has kept his reasons for leaving to himself. But it would appear at the moment that he left because he knew that this is where he would have to do his shopping. Players of this standard are not going to improve our current squad which imo is relegation fodder next season.
Lambert knew that as well.
