Giroud's silver lining
Arsenal's latest signing Olivier Giroud has declared his delight in signing for the Gunners.
The former Montpellier striker said: ?I can?t wait to play here and then move to Manchester City and double my wages.?
Giroud insisted on ?add ons? as part of any deal at the Emirates ? which would see the Frenchman pocket more money should Arsenal win silverware.
Gunners officials wrapping up the deal did their best to stifle their laughter. Giroud has played just two seasons of top-flight football with Montpellier, and was farmed out on loan to the mighty Istres in the French Third Division during the 2007-08 season.
Basically, he?s the French Grant Holt, but with slightly better English.
Giroud is 1-2 with Hills to score more than fellow Arsenal new-boy, German frontman Lukas Podolski.
And he?s also 20-1 to be the top Premier League goalscorer. Now it?s your turn to stifle the laughter.
