A lucky escape

I was born in the City of Manchester, so that should have qualified me as a Blue. My parents weren't into football, but one of my uncles took me to watch Utd at Old Trafford for my first game, I can't remember much about the game, but I'm told that I didn't really enjoy it. We used to go to see relatives in Fakenham on holiday, who were big City fans, and I'd be at the front of the old River End and completely loved it - Martin Peters was my hero. That was it, with my team a bond was formed. My university choice (UEA) was easy, and a Season Ticket for 3 years in the early - mid 80's.

A lucky escape; born as a potential Man City fan,;at the age of 5 I didn't like Utd; and with relatives in Ipswich who fortunately didn't like football ....
