He was originally a director at Bury Town Football Club before WWII, and was principally involved in an agreement for Bury Town to become a "feeder" club for Norwich City.
He was subsequently appointed to the board at Norwich City after the war, and remained there until the club faced bankruptcy in the mid-fifties. He was ousted from the Board when Geoffrey Watling took over. I have records of various loans that my grandfather made to the Club, obviously to try and keep them afloat, however he was never to see his money again.

Here's a picture of him with the team, sometime after 1946... although I've never had it properly dated, or been able to identify anyone else in the photo.
