South/South East Wrathers - advice please

Dutch guy I know has just got tickets for teh olympics and is coming for 2 days 3-5 August. Arriving at Stansted.

I have told him not to even think about a Hotel in London due to availability and cost.

Can anyone recommend somehwere easy enough to get to from Stansted where he coudl get a hotel and then easy from there to get into London for the games?
