Aside from crossing over try and stay off Las Ramblas...

...modern art museum is good and a brilliant building and the whole Gothic area is small smart...

If we saw an alley we went down it as there was always a bar of an interesting building...

We also went to the chocolate museum and ate the greatest seafood paella ever on top of a museum on the marina...

One word of warning: watch out for pick pockets they're everywhere and don't leave it next to you in bars or someone will try and steal it...
