Italy should have won 5-0 anyway!

It's not as if England were good defensively, Balotelli should have had a hat trick at least. Poor finishing papering over the cracks again.

Try and set up a team to attack, play high pressure and retain the ball then the worst outcome is a similar result. Nobody can tell me that we could have played any worse in that tournament.

Winning a joke group doesn't mean Roy's done a good job, especially when you consider how much better the other teams in our group were in each individual match. We played like minnows but scraped through. Not down to tactics, just luck, pure and simple. England were lucky to get through the group stage, luck was with them throughout the tournament until the shoot out. Luck will only take you so far though!
