Keep seeing this everywhere.
"Oh how will we survive without a striker who can score 15 goals in a season".
These players got 15 or more PL goals last season.
Van Persie Arsenal 30
Rooney Manchester United 27
Aguero Manchester City 23
Adebayor Tottenham 17
Dempsey Fulham 17
Yakubu Blackburn 17
Ba Newcastle 16
Holt Norwich
Thats just eight players.
WBA's top scorer got 10. Everton's 9. Wigan's 7. They're all playing in the PL next season.
Pilks got 8 for us-more than the afore mentioned Wigan's top scorer.
We need a spread of goals between the players-Moro gets 8-10 say, Pilks 6-8, a (fit, please!) Vaughan 8-10...and so on, E Benno to chip in with 4-6, Howson the same.
Thats 40 odd goals (in good old theory I admit) which is not so far off what we finished on last season already.
No need for this high scoring mythical frontman-its nice but its not life or death if the balance of the team is right.
That, for me, is a far better place to be than one man who get s**tloads and everyone else feeds on scraps.
