I understand the situation with these unfunded schemes.

UK doctors still are far better remunerated than their French counterparts.

In effect the increase in "employee contributions" amounts to a pay cut. And the reduction in the pension amounts to the same. But still doctors remuneration is extremely generous, especially for the state sector.
