see below - tonight is actually pretty simple

spain win - they win the group

spain draw - they win the group

spain lose - they are out, assuming Italy win

then between italy and croatia:
italy lose - they're out
italy draw - they're out

italy win and spain win - croatia out
italy win and croatia win - spain out

can only get a bit complicated if italy win and spain vs croatia is a draw. In that case, all that matters is spain vs croatia score.

if 0-0 - croatia out (spain's higher ranking)
if 1-1 - whoever has lower ranking of italy and croatia is out (dunno who that is tho)
if 2-2 or higher - italy out.
