With or without hard disk or freeview plus, any size HDD, the only stipulation I ask is that the machine not be annoying in any way. Therefore, any recommendation for a Philips machine will be viewed as trolling.

I've been put off a couple of interesting-looking Panasonic machines by news that the TV Guide is irritating because half the screen is taken up by scrolling adverts, to which I can only say "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat????"

Anyone really chuffed with ther recorder please?
