which raised a few issues that I feel I need to deal with.
Helveg: no-one at work had any news that we haven't already heard; but, most were doubtful he'd find a bigger club (as Olsen says he wants) - unless he has a relegation release clause in his contract.
Danish Bacon: is crap - thin and watery, shrivels to nothing when fried. Danes don't really eat it and they export 90-95% of what they produce, I believe.
Danish Pastries: called wienerbr?d (Viennese bread) in Danish.
Open Sandwiches: called sm?rrebr?d (literally buttered bread) in Danish. Toppings are very varied, but usually fish related. And piled high, so spillage can be a problem - some are very nice once one gets the hang of it
England-Denmark in WC 2002: I thought we were a bit lucky in that game - they held & passed the ball much better than we did. Could have been different if they'd scored instead of hitting the bar at 1-0.
Current Danish team: is considered far from their best and most don't expect them to qualify for 2006; which probably means the end of Helveg's international career
