There's a case for saying that Denmark were the best side at the 86 World Cup and yet lost 5-1 to Spain in the second round! Certainly their destruction of Uruguay was the best performance of the tournament.

Argentina really weren't that great, West Germany certainly weren't, France and Brazil were no better than the Danes.

They were a wonderful team.
