Unfortunately for Villa, our success was built on a lot more than just signing cheap players. It was a building process over 3 years, where everyone, including the fans played a big role. There wasn't any big ego's (Holt's latest histrionics aside) and we had great momentum season after season. Quite frankly, I think Lambert will struggle massively with them...
