Mumby Interview

Reporter: Mr Mumby, how did the board meeting go today?
Mumby: It went very well, as usual. Plenty to drink and Delais's nibbles were excellent as always.
R; As you know the fans are becoming very concerned about the team's lack of progress this season and many are now calling for the manager to go. Was this discussed at the meeting?
M: Naturally we understand our wonderful supporters' concerns and i wish to assure them all that, as a board, we share them to.
R: In plain English?
M: Look I had a word with Nigel after Tuesday night's game at luton and told him things need to improve quickly.
R: And?
M: Nigel took what I said on board and on Saturday, in the first half, we saw an IMMEDIATE 25% upturn in our fortunes. Any organisation would be delighted with a 25% improvement in results inside a week, don't you think?
R: Err, well I suppose so. So you think things are moving in the right direction?
M: Absolutely. Given this remarkable rate of improvement, why, it will only be another 3 games before we snatch a point out of a game. I'd say the run up to Christmas is looking bright.
R: So Nigel's position is safe?
M: Totally, Carry on Nigel. OTBC!
