Preventing Moves Would Count As Restraint Of Trade Wouldn't It?

As has been said, can't see how it would be legally enforceable. You can't prevent someone from moving from one job to another.

The thing to do is to make sure our players have every reason possible to stay and prosper at NCFC, not hanker after a move to Villa, rather than put something potentially provocative in place to stop them moving.

But its funny how a Manager can resign and nothing is due to the club that is affected and the contract is useless, yet, had we sacked him, we'd have been expected to pay up as per the terms of the same contract.

Just as we will have to pay Cully and Karsa up when they leave just so they can then be freed up to join Lambert at Villa.

Seems we're in a lose-lose situation.
