What is all the confidence regarding Hughton based on?

Just wondering - I haven't actually seen anything that looks remotely authoritative anywhere. But everyone seems very confident on here - I assume I must have missed something.

(What I have seen is that West Brom have been trying to get him over the last few days - do we know why we are getting him when they have failed?)
