Well that's not strictly true

Richards got injured, Zab came into the side and City went on a a bit of a streak and caught up United. By the time Richards was back from injury Mancini decided it was better to keep the same starting line up for the remaining few games. I'd expect Richards to be 1st choice again next season.

Ignores the fact Micah has had an excellent season and deserves to be 1st choice for England too.
