Letter to Doncaster...

...

I?ve been a loyal supporter of this football club for a long time and the recent displays on the pitch, or rather, since we were relegated at Fulham have left me pondering whether we have the right regime in place or not. I feel that the current regime have failed to exorcise some Premiership ghosts and we have developed a losing culture; which seems unlikely to disappear as little has been done about it. We constantly dwell on the same ideas, which perpetually lead to the same things.

On the current evidence, embarrassing defeats at Luton and Queens Park Rangers reflect the fact that our Manager has bide his time at Norwich City. Sadly, it comes to all Managers ? you go past your use-by date; just look at Alex Ferguson at Manchester United or what happened to Brian Clough in his final years at Nottingham Forest.

Currently, we are languishing in mid-table and the club should not be where it is. Thanks to our Manager?s decisions, we are currently in this position and going on past evidence, I can see little changing unless Nigel Worthington leaves Norwich City. The signings made in pre-season bar one or two individuals have been a total waste of resources. Further more, we have failed to strengthen areas of the team and when it was apparent that we urgently needed a new midfielder, the board allowed Mr. Worthington to bid for a striker. Personally, I cannot comprehend why. We have enough strikers and one certain striker may depart this club in January if he is constantly played the way he is.

What I have briefly mentioned is an obvious example of decline at Norwich City Football Club and myself, and the rest of the supporters do not wish to put up with it any longer.

May we suggest that you ask Mr. Worthington to resign, or failing that, sack him.
