Well his tweets effectively said nothing more than we already knew - he has handed in

A transfer request.

He may be the biggest c**t in the world and it all have been planned. Alternatively he may just be a bit dim and gave fired off a couple oc tweets without thinking about it or realising how it would be perceived.
