In a weird way, I feel more optimistic that we'll stay up next season, now

There were signs in the last ten games that we'd been sussed and PL had run out of ways to shuffle things. Bring in the right new manager, who'll firm us up at the back, and we may not be as badly affected as we might have been.

I have no real basis for the above, and it may just be my mind fighting back after being dumped. I'm no stranger to that.

it's obvious to say it, but it MUST be the right man. This is not a time to gamble on the manager: if we can afford the likes of a Benitez, we should hire one who'll come.
