If there was a release clause that a club would be willing to pay then Holt would be off and there would be nothing that NCFC could do about it. There would be no need for him to put in a transfer request.
Therefore, as Holt has put in a transfer request it suggests that either:
A) A club is not willing to pay the transfer fee release clause amount in his contract AND sign Holt on high wages.
Therefore Holt has had to put in the transfer request to get NCFC to take a lower fee (so that a new club will pay him high wages).
If that is the case then sorry Holt, but the new club don't think that you are worth it, else they would pay the fee in your contract.
Or...
B) There is no transfer fee release clause.
In which case then sorry Holt, NCFC hold all the aces and don't have to sell you. They could withdraw an offer of an improved contract and have you training with the kids for 2 years.
Either way, you are not going anywhere unless NCFC get what they want for you. Even Tevez saw the light.
