He has hardly been a world beater (although he had a great time with Racing Santander) at Brum, and he wasn't a Hughton signing. You get lots of cases of ordinary players being on stupid money at clubs who don't know any better. High wage bills don't always translate into quality, you can't blame Hughton for that.
