But I wouldn't discredit Helveg - he didn't do anything wrong against Man Utd. Put some good tackles in, won the free-kick that got us the goal, and kept a cool head when United were pressing to get back into the game.
Shackell was introduced into the defence before Helveg, and while he looked good, we were still conceding. I agree that we didn't see the best of Helveg, which I attribute more than Worthington than anything else, but I still think Helveg added a lot to the team.
And you're right, we could argue about last season for hours ... not to mention this! :P
